2023 We purchased a commercial property that provides much-needed warehouse space and room for growth.
2022
We continued to grow under the leadership of Roger’s son, Seth. Seth is supported by his wife, Karla, and their four children. Katie Koehn continues to serve in the company, where she specializes in sales and marketing.
2021 In 2001, after experiencing the loss of the mill due to a fire, Southern Seed & Feed seized the unexpected opportunity and rebuilt a larger, cutting-edge facility. The company continued to grow.
2014
Around 2014, state-of-the-art automation is added supply the growing demand. This improvement allows for more significant milling and cleaning capacity.

1987
In 1987, Southern Seed & Feed acquired its first wholesale customer, Planter’s Supply, a customer we still do business with today.
1983 Southern Seed & Feed was founded in 1983 by Roger and Colleen Koehn as a portable seed cleaning business. We traveled from farm to farm, cleaning soybeans and other seeds for local farmers. As the farming industry changed, we did less seed cleaning and began transitioning to supplying corn and grains for our local farmers.

Our founder and leader, Roger Koehn, passed in 2021 after battling cancer. He proudly owned and operated the business for thirty-eight years. Today, the business remains family owned and operated.
