Southern Buck Spring/Summer Mix
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:
Our spring/summer mix provides the off-season nutrition to keep your herd at their best. The spring and summer months are the time when nutrition is most needed to improve the health of lactating does and growing fawns. The protein is essential for bucks to reach their antler growth potential. This mix will start maturing 90 days after planting and continue through October, ensuring that your deer never miss out.
PLANTING DIRECTIONS:
Plant from early March through July 15. This mix will start maturing 90 days after planting and continue until the end of October. Plant at a rate of 50lbs. per ½ acre. Drill or broadcast evenly across soil surface. Plant your mix ¼”- ½” deep (Small seeds should not be planted deeper than ¼”). Use a light drag, cultipacker or log to firm the soil after planting.
PLANTING PREPARATION:
In late summer, spray or cut the weeds in your food plot. Also till or disk the soil, apply lime at this time. Mid-September thru October, till or disk the plot and drag to make smooth. Apply mixed fertilizer at this time.
